Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2022

As 2022 comes to a close there is a very special adventure about to begin. The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge organised by Atlantic Campaigns leaves from La Gomera at the beginning of December on the adventure of a lifetime. Participants have spent years preparing for the challenge in which they will row 3000 miles between La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean.

In the months running up to our trip to La Gomera, those who have a schenker watermaker visit us in Weston-super-Mare where they complete a course with Jim on the do’s and don’ts. This gives the teams a good understanding of how the watermaker works before they use it during their crossing!

During our week in La Gomera, we check over all of the Schenker watermakers in the fleet, this years fleet has more than 40 teams. Forty of them have either a Schenker Smart 30 or ZEN 30 onboard.

As a crucial bit of kit, our role is to make sure they are all in top working condition before the teams leave this sunday.
